Refund and Cancellation Policy
Refunds, renewals,
and cancellations.
This policy explains how NodeLume handles immediate subscription charges, renewals, cancellations, refund requests, billing errors, and mandatory consumer rights.
Core has no paid-plan trial. Paddle charges the selected regional subscription price immediately when you confirm checkout. Included free usage remains available without an account, sign-in, or subscription. Refund eligibility depends on the type and date of the charge, the reason for the request, and applicable mandatory consumer law.
1. Scope
This policy applies to NodeLume subscriptions purchased through an authorized NodeLume checkout. It forms part of the Terms of Use. Included free usage does not require an account, sign-in, or subscription and does not involve a purchase. Purchases made under a negotiated order form, reseller agreement, or other written contract are governed by that agreement where it states different refund or cancellation terms.
2. Subscription billing and renewals
NodeLume Core has no paid-plan trial. Paddle charges the selected monthly or yearly regional price, plus applicable taxes, immediately when you confirm checkout.
The paid subscription renews automatically at the monthly or yearly interval selected at checkout until it is canceled. Checkout displays the price, currency, billing interval, applicable taxes, and renewal terms before you confirm the purchase.
By confirming the subscription, you authorize the immediate charge and later recurring charges to the payment method provided until you cancel. Any required renewal or price-change notice will be provided in accordance with applicable law.
3. Subscription cancellation
You may cancel through the available “Manage subscription” link. If the portal is unavailable, email hello@nodelume.ai with the account email and enough information to locate the subscription.
Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period, and access ordinarily continues until that date.
4. Refund eligibility
NodeLume will consider a full refund in the following circumstances:
- Initial paid charge: the request concerns the initial charge for a new subscription, or an eligible one-time purchase, and reaches NodeLume within seven calendar days of the charge date;
- Duplicate or incorrect charge: the same purchase was charged more than once or the amount charged does not match the confirmed order;
- Access or material technical failure: NodeLume cannot provide the purchased access or resolve a verified material product issue within a reasonable time after receiving enough information to investigate; or
- Mandatory consumer right: applicable law requires a refund, withdrawal right, cancellation remedy, or other reimbursement.
Approval may require reasonable verification of the purchase and the issue. When a purchase is refunded, the related paid access or license may end on the refund date.
5. Non-refundable charges
Except where mandatory law or another section of this policy requires otherwise, NodeLume does not provide refunds for:
- subscription renewals that were processed before cancellation;
- partial billing periods, unused time, or unused product features;
- change-of-mind requests received after the initial-purchase eligibility window;
- currency conversion differences, bank fees, or other charges imposed independently by a financial institution;
- an inability to use NodeLume caused by an unsupported environment, third-party service, or failure to meet published requirements; or
- accounts suspended or terminated for fraud, abuse, unauthorized use, or a material violation of the Terms of Use.
A plan downgrade applies prospectively and does not create a credit for the current billing period unless NodeLume expressly agrees otherwise.
6. Regional consumer rights
Nothing in this policy limits a consumer right or remedy that cannot legally be waived. If local law gives you a more protective refund, withdrawal, cancellation, or renewal right, that law controls to the extent it applies.
Brazil
Consumers purchasing online may have a statutory right to withdraw within seven days under Article 49 of the Brazilian Consumer Protection Code. NodeLume will honor that right when it applies, along with any other mandatory consumer remedy.
United States
For United States customers, the eligibility rules in this policy apply alongside any non-waivable federal or state rights concerning automatic renewals, cancellation methods, billing errors, deceptive practices, or defective services. State-specific rights remain available where applicable.
European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland
Consumers in these regions may have a statutory withdrawal period, commonly 14 days for eligible distance contracts. The right may be affected by a lawful request for immediate digital performance or supply, but only as permitted by applicable law and the disclosures and consent presented at purchase.
Other regions
Customers elsewhere retain all mandatory rights under the consumer law that applies to their purchase.
7. How to request a refund
Email hello@nodelume.ai with the subject “Refund Request.” Include the email used for the purchase, the order or transaction identifier, the purchase date, and a short description of the request. For a technical issue, include enough information for NodeLume to reproduce or assess the problem.
Do not send complete payment-card numbers, passwords, or other authentication credentials.
8. Review and refund processing
NodeLume will review the request against this policy, verify the transaction where necessary, and communicate the outcome using the contact information associated with the purchase. Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method unless another method is required by law.
After a refund is issued, the time for funds to appear depends on the payment method, bank, and card network. NodeLume does not control those external processing times.
9. Billing errors and unauthorized charges
Contact hello@nodelume.ai promptly if you believe a charge is duplicated, incorrect, or unauthorized. NodeLume may request reasonable information to locate the transaction and protect the account. You may also have rights through your financial institution; contacting NodeLume first does not waive those rights.
10. Policy changes and contact
NodeLume may update this policy prospectively when products, billing practices, or legal obligations change. A material change will not retroactively reduce a refund right that applied when a purchase was made. The effective date above identifies the current version.
