Terms of Use
Clear terms for
responsible analysis.
These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of NodeLume, an independent software product operated from Brazil (“NodeLume,” “we,” “us,” or “our”).
Use NodeLume only on applications you are authorized to inspect. Your captures remain under your control and are stored locally by design. When a seven-day free trial is offered, a valid card is required, no subscription fee is charged when the trial starts, and the selected recurring price is charged after the trial unless you cancel first. Mandatory consumer rights always remain in force.
1. Agreement and eligibility
By installing, accessing, purchasing, or using NodeLume, you agree to these Terms and the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be legally capable of entering this agreement. Purchasers must be at least 18 or the age of majority in their location. If you use NodeLume for an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization, and “you” includes the organization.
2. What NodeLume provides
NodeLume is a Chrome-based visual application analysis tool. Depending on the version and plan, it may create instant site maps, record consent-based navigation journeys, relate actions to network activity, show technical evidence, generate deterministic insights, and keep local history.
NodeLume analyzes browser-visible behavior rather than source code. Results depend on the selected tab, browser permissions, application behavior, network conditions, and the evidence available during a recording. NodeLume does not guarantee that a map is complete or that every request, failure, vulnerability, or dependency will be detected.
3. License, accounts, and subscription
Subject to these Terms and compliance with applicable trial and payment terms, NodeLume grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, and revocable right to install and use the service during your trial or subscription term for the purposes allowed by your plan.
- Core: intended for individual professional use and subject to the saved-domain and other limits shown at purchase.
You must keep account, license, and purchase information accurate and must not share access beyond the plan's permitted scope. Features identified as beta, preview, or early access may be incomplete, change more frequently, and be discontinued.
4. Your responsibilities
You are responsible for:
- using NodeLume only on websites, systems, and data you own or are authorized to inspect;
- obtaining permissions, notices, and lawful bases required for recording personal, confidential, or third-party information;
- reviewing captures before exporting, sharing, or relying on them;
- protecting your device, browser profile, exported files, credentials, and local recordings;
- following the terms and security rules of applications you analyze; and
- independently validating technical findings before making production, security, legal, or business decisions.
5. Acceptable use
You may not use NodeLume to:
- access, monitor, intercept, test, or record a system without authorization;
- collect passwords, payment-card data, health data, government identifiers, or other sensitive information without a lawful and necessary purpose;
- evade access controls, security measures, rate limits, or usage restrictions;
- introduce malware, disrupt a system, conduct denial-of-service activity, or facilitate unlawful surveillance;
- infringe privacy, intellectual property, confidentiality, or other rights;
- resell, rent, sublicense, or provide the software as a standalone competing service unless a written agreement permits it;
- reverse engineer, decompile, or circumvent license controls except to the limited extent applicable law expressly permits; or
- use NodeLume in violation of sanctions, export-control rules, or other applicable law.
We may investigate suspected abuse and suspend access when reasonably necessary to protect users, systems, or legal compliance.
6. Your captures, exports, and privacy
As between you and NodeLume, you retain your rights in the applications, information, captures, and exports you lawfully process with NodeLume. You give NodeLume no license to local captures that NodeLume does not receive. If you voluntarily send an export to support, you grant us a limited right to use it only to provide that support, protect the service, and meet legal obligations.
Captures are stored locally by design. You control their retention, deletion, and disclosure. Review the Privacy Policy for details about local processing, website inquiries, subscriptions, providers, and privacy rights.
7. Purchases, subscriptions, and taxes
Paddle acts as the Merchant of Record and authorized reseller for paid NodeLume purchases made through Paddle checkout. This means that the purchase transaction is between you and Paddle, which is responsible for payment processing, billing, applicable taxes, invoices, fraud prevention, refunds, chargebacks, and transaction support. NodeLume remains responsible for providing and licensing the NodeLume software under these Terms.
Purchases processed by Paddle are also subject to the Paddle Buyer Terms and Paddle Privacy Notice. Prices, currency, billing interval, product description, trial terms, and applicable taxes are displayed before you start a trial or complete a purchase.
Where checkout offers a seven-day free trial, the trial begins after Paddle accepts a valid payment method and confirms the subscription. No subscription fee is due when the trial starts. Paddle may validate and securely store the payment method for the first charge and later renewals. Unless you cancel before the trial ends, Paddle will charge the selected monthly or yearly price, plus applicable taxes, when the seven-day trial ends. The subscription then renews automatically for the same interval until canceled.
By starting the trial, you authorize Paddle to charge the selected payment method at the end of the trial and on later renewals unless you cancel first. A financial institution may display a temporary authorization or verification entry that is not a NodeLume subscription charge. NodeLume or Paddle may send legally required trial-ending, renewal, or price-change notices.
We may change prices prospectively. Price changes do not retroactively alter completed transactions and will apply to a later renewal only after any notice required by law.
8. Cancellation, withdrawal, and refunds
You may cancel through the available “Manage subscription” link. If you cancel a seven-day free trial before its displayed end date, the first subscription charge will not be made; access may continue until the trial ends. If the portal is unavailable, contact hello@nodelume.ai before the trial ends and include the account email and enough information to locate the subscription.
After the first charge, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid period and prevents future renewal charges. Cancellation does not by itself create a refund for the current paid period or a previous renewal.
Refunds may be available for an eligible first paid charge requested within seven calendar days, a verified duplicate or incorrect charge, an unresolved material access or technical failure, or where mandatory law requires a remedy. The free-trial cancellation right is separate from a refund because no subscription fee has yet been charged. Renewal charges and unused portions of a billing period are otherwise non-refundable. See the NodeLume Refund Policy.
9. NodeLume intellectual property
NodeLume and its licensors own the service, software, extension code, user interface, brand, documentation, and all related intellectual property, excluding your content and third-party materials. These Terms grant a limited license and do not transfer ownership.
If you provide feedback, you allow NodeLume to use it without restriction or compensation, provided we do not publicly identify you as the source without permission.
10. Third-party services
NodeLume depends on third-party browser, distribution, Merchant of Record, form-delivery, email, hosting, and security services. Their terms, availability, and privacy practices apply to their services. We are not responsible for a third-party service outside our control, but we will use reasonable care in selecting and integrating providers.
11. Availability, support, and product changes
We may update NodeLume to improve performance, security, compatibility, or functionality. Browser or third-party changes may require updates or temporarily limit a feature. We may modify or discontinue features, but we will provide notice or a remedy when required by law or a paid commitment.
Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, no guaranteed service level, support response time, or uninterrupted availability applies. Contact hello@nodelume.ai for support.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NodeLume is provided “as is” and “as available.” We disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not warrant that findings are complete, that every feature will work with every application, or that NodeLume replaces security testing, legal review, or professional judgment.
13. Limitation of liability and business indemnity
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NodeLume will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, punitive, or consequential loss, or for lost profits, revenue, data, goodwill, or business interruption arising from use of the service.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, NodeLume's total aggregate liability arising from the service will not exceed the greater of US$100 or the amount you paid for NodeLume in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim. These limits do not apply where liability cannot legally be limited, including for fraud, willful misconduct, or mandatory consumer remedies.
If you use NodeLume for a business, you will defend and indemnify NodeLume against third-party claims arising from your unlawful or unauthorized use, your captures or exports, or your violation of these Terms, except to the extent caused by NodeLume. This indemnity does not apply to consumers where prohibited by law.
14. Suspension and termination
You may stop using NodeLume and may cancel a paid subscription as described above. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, fraud, security risk, unlawful use, non-payment, or when required by law or Paddle as Merchant of Record. Where reasonable, we will provide notice and an opportunity to cure.
Upon termination, the license ends. Provisions that by nature should survive—such as ownership, payment obligations, disclaimers, liability limits, and dispute terms—remain effective. Local data may remain in your browser until you delete it or remove the extension.
15. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Brazil, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts located in São Paulo, Brazil have jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer law allows or requires you to bring a claim in your place of residence or provides another forum.
Before filing a claim, please email hello@nodelume.ai with a description of the issue so we can try to resolve it informally. This does not prevent either party from seeking urgent relief or exercising non-waivable rights.
16. General terms and changes
If a provision is unenforceable, it will be limited to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will continue. Failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. You may not assign these Terms without our consent; we may assign them as part of a reorganization, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale, subject to applicable law.
These Terms, the Privacy Policy, the Refund Policy, checkout disclosures, and any applicable order form are the entire agreement about NodeLume. We may update these Terms prospectively. Material changes will be notified as required, and a new effective date will be posted. Continued use after the effective date means the updated Terms apply to future use, subject to mandatory law.
For questions regarding these Terms, contact NodeLume at hello@nodelume.ai.
